Specification

The 3500PLUS System is brand-independent and can be installed on most rear-wheel-drive light commercial vehicles. It features a custom-made trailer that seamlessly connects to the vehicle as a standard tractor-trailer combination. The system allows for a payload of up to 2,500-3,000 kg and a body length of up to 5,500 mm, depending on the wheelbase. The vehicle is converted into a tractor unit with a sub-frame, fifth wheel, air supply, and an intelligent brake system that converts hydraulic brake pressure into air pressure. This unique system caters to old (before 01-2013) and new (after 01-2013) BE driving licenses, ensuring a wide range of drivers can efficiently operate the BE-Combi 3500PLUS combination.

Preparation of the vehicle chassis

The vehicle is converted into a tractor unit with a sub-frame, fifth wheel, air supply and an intelligent brake system, converting the hydraulic brake pressure into air pressure.

As per the client's specification, the body and the accessories such as the hydraulic lift are mounted on the trailer and the BE-Combination is ready to be paired with the vehicle.

Connection with the vehicle

The connection between the vehicle and the trailer chassis is simple and easy. Once connected, the trailer is fixed and turns together with the vehicle. With the 3500PLUS system, it is possible to have several different interchangeable bodies on the chassis for different needs.

BE category vehicle

After joining the vehicle with the trailer, we get the final product - B category vehicle with a fixed trailer. The conversion consists of a 3,500-kilo vehicle and a 3,500-kilo trailer. Together a gross combination weight (GCW) of 7,000 kilos with BE driver's license.

Intelligent Braking System (IBS)

BE-Combi Systems has developed a new Intelligent Braking System (IBS) for the 3500PLUS system, which increases braking power, shortens stopping distance and prevents slippage in the event of an acute stop. IBS automatically converts all signals from safety systems on the vehicle into a corresponding air-brake pressure for the trailer. The system responds in a fraction of a second and is equipped with a backup system in case of malfunction so that you can be sure about the vehicle's safety.
